Everyone's talking about climate change and global warming - some people seem to know all the answers and others have loud, strong opinions about what they think the causes and solutions may be. In this issue of The Helix, hear about climate change from a real expert - Professor Stephen Schneider from California's Stanford University, who has been studying climate change since the early 1970s.
This issue also takes a deep look inside your head, with a feature about intelligence. Are you smart? How do you know; and what does it mean to be smart, anyway? Find out ways to boost your brain, and bust some myths about the effects of TV and video games on your brain.
You'll also learn about horses and how they see the world, find out how plants react to stress and see the beautiful and amazing results of our exposing nature photography competition. Pick up your copy from a newsagent or join the Double Helix Science Club for delivery to your door.
